We use assemblies at Porters Grange to promote community, inclusion, British Values and a growth mindset.  All our assemblies end with a moment of reflection that is broadly Christian in nature.

Our assemblies follow this schedule:

Monday – Celebration assemblies

Tuesday – Learning Powers assembly

Wednesday – Play/Visitor/Class assemblies

Thursday – Singing and Story assemblies

Friday – Singing and Story assemblies 

 

Monday’s celebration assembly is led by the Principal and the Vice Principal with certificates given to children to celebrate their efforts.

Tuesday’s assembly is led by an Assistant Principal and introduces the Learning Power of the week and promotes a growth mindset through stories and lived examples.

On Wednesday’s assembly we invite a religious communities to share with the children stories and examples from their religion.  In addition, we celebrate play and our British Values during a play assembly.

On Thursdays and Fridays the children attend a singing assembly led by our music lead and a story assembly which reinforces the theme of the week.
